In summertime, sunlight is bright
And everything's covered in light
When long is the daytime
Then long is the playtime
It's just too enchanted to fight.
In autumn the leaves start to turn
And the trees get so dry they could burn
We walk through the woods
With our thick rubber boots
And march off to our schools for to learn.
But winter brings silence and snow
As the world dies its yearly death slow
Still falling like stars
What a wonder they are
Each snowflake tells us what they know.
